Meet Dr. Jackson
Blessed and highly favored!
I was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on the 8th of July in 1953. In 1962, while living in a home as a foster child, I received Christ and was baptized.
In 1972 I entered the US Army and was trained in field artillery operations and intelligence, 13E. My permanent duty station was at Ft. Bragg , NC with the 82nd Airborne Division. Most of my enlistment was served as a Chaplain's Assistant, 71M2P. I was honorably discharged on April 11, 1975 as a Specialist Fifth Class.
On the 19th of July 1975, I married Donna Lee Branscum and I love her even more today. We have four children.
From 1978 until 1981 I attended the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. I was a member of the Alpha Chi Kappa national honor society.
During the summer of 1981, I attended the Medical Education Development Program at the UNC Medical School at Chapel Hill.
From 1982 until 1986 I attended the Dental School at Chapel Hill where I received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. While attending dental school I did research in Tempomandibular Joint Dysfunction in children, the effects of Indomethocin and Accelerated Hyper Fractionation Radiation Treatment in cancer patients (ACEP), with a table clinic on "Treatment of Rampant Decay in Children" and one with my wife on "Advanced Porcelain Esthetics", for which we won the International College Of Dentistry Award for originality. Upon graduation I was chosen for the Dwight L. Clark Award by the dental school.
Loving God by serving people
My dental office opened on the 1st of April, 1987. I have served the dental community as an officer in the local 'Isothermal Dental Society' for four years and I am a member of the NC Dental Society and the American Dental Society. In the past, I have served as a board member with the local Red Cross for six years. and as a member of the Rector's Advisory Counsel for St. Luke's Church in Spindale. Working as a volunteer counselor for the 'Life of Champions' I witness in the prison ministry. I am a Lay Eucharistic Minister and evangelist with a Bachelors of Theology degree from Christian Life School of Theology.
As a hobby I have studied the ancient and modern martial arts styles for most of my life and I hold many yudansha's (black belts). I do this only for exercise, now.
